Hi there. I'm a full stack designer who has been creating experiences since starting a skateboard shop at 16. Through a myriad of roles within tech startups, I have focused on bringing creativity and design thinking to product and service development. By providing creative direction and management leadership to growing teams, I have had the good fortune to work across a variety of industries, bringing innovative ideas to both consumer and enterprise markets.
I believe we are in a golden age of User Experience. With my Product Management experience I bring a more holistic approach to UX. I am able to balance the needs of the Makers and Owners while never losing sight of the users. With an array of design tools under my belt, plus the myriad of other UX tools that are emerging rapidly, I am able to enable teams to have faster workflows and iteration cycles.
Distributed teams, ever evolving design tools, and more and more efficient workflows have the potential to create hugely beneficial disruptions for humanity. Between the ideal and the lowest common denominator lies the art of the possible and I appreciate the chance to help make the possible world better for us all.
Design has allowed me to work across a variety of industries and work with people from all over the globe. I feel very fortunate for these opportunities to meet people from across the globe. I can't wait to see what we humans come up with next. I'd love to chat if you have a challenging design problem.
I am on the board for the How Weird Street Faire. 20+ years ago, a good friend of mine lost his lease to his warehouse in San Francisco and we threw a block party to celebrate the end of our creative space. The following year we threw the party again and created a non-profit to be its fiscal sponsor. All these years later, people continue to get weird, (and donate) to a great cause; the ILC.
And when I have time to myself, I love to spend it on almost any kind of board; Skateboard, Snowboard, Kiteboard and most recently Foilboards. I started skating when I was 14 and snowboarding not that long after. And I keep finding myself learning all the new ways humans can “board.” Soon, I hope, you’ll be finding me on WingFoils.
